Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park is seeking a Facilities and Environment Officer with demonstrated experience across both maintenance and horticulture.
Set across 25 acres comprising buildings, animal enclosures, visitor infrastructure, wetlands, landscaped gardens and native bushland, Moonlit Sanctuary is a unique and dynamic work environment that requires a hands‑on, flexible approach to both facility maintenance and environmental care.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities and Environment Officers play a central role in ensuring the Sanctuary remains safe, functional, visually appealing and environmentally sustainable. Responsibilities include:
What We’re Looking For:
- A balanced skill set across practical maintenance and horticulture (or an interest in expanding your skills), along with a strong commitment to environmental conservation.
- Experience in maintenance, facilities, groundskeeping, horticulture or landscaping.
- The ability to safely perform physically active work in an outdoor environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contractors.
- A proactive approach to safety, risk management and problem solving.
- Good organisational and timemanagement skills, with confidence using cloudbased systems.
- A flexible mindset and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience working in public parks and gardens, zoos, wildlife parks or similar complex sites highly regarded.
- Formal trade and/or horticulture qualifications desirable.
