Koala Encounter

Get up close to these adorable animals in our Koala Encounters.

One of our knowledgeable koala keepers will introduce you and answer all your questions as you pet and cuddle up to one of our very friendly koalas. You can snap as many photos as you like with our cute little eucalyptus-munchers and come away with the perfect selfie of your koala encounter.

Online booking recommended.

Our Koala Encounters are at 1pm Monday-Friday and 11am and 3:00pm on weekends.  

This encounter is for a couple of minutes, giving you enough time to stroke and cuddle the koala and take some great selfies.

$25 per person

Due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements, our Keepers are no longer able to stand next to our guests during the Koala Encounter.

To participate in the Koala Encounter the following visitor restrictions apply:

  • You must be 130cm tall or taller to participate (as the standing platform currently can’t be used safely)
  • One single person per encounter (no group photos)
  • You must be able to physically stand and participate without a parent/guardian/carer
  • You must be able to independently understand and follow Keeper safety instructions (for guest and animal welfare)

We will continually review our operations with advice from the Victorian State Government.
