You can cuddle up to a koala, play with the dingoes, hold an owl or python, stroke a wombat, take a dingo or wombat on a walk or take a private tour or discover the behind-the-scenes experience. There’s also a Threatened Species Tour where you can get up close to some of Australia’s most endangered species and an exciting new Walk with a Hawk experience.

- 1:30pm - Wombat EncounterIn this ten-minute close-up encounter, you can enter Mary the wombat’s enclosure while she is enjoying her food, bob down behind her and give her lots of pats down the back while her Keeper chats about her and her species.
- 1:45pm - Barn Owl EncounterEspecially for owl lovers, this encounter enables you to get up close to Hootie the barn owl, or his sister Jarli.

Koala Encounters will be cancelled during extreme local weather conditions.
Depending on weather and animal reactions other encounters may be cancelled or shortened without notice. We thank you for understanding.
Booking in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment particularly with the Wombat Encounter, Barn Owl Encounter, Dingo Encounter or Walk and Behind the Scenes tour. Koala and Python Encounters can usually be purchased at the ticket box when you come to the Sanctuary.
