Are you ready to take on a challenging role in a unique environment? Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, renowned for its commitment to conservation and exceptional wildlife experiences, is seeking trades and handy people to join its Facilities and Environment team.

Moonlit Sanctuary is a 25-acre property comprising buildings, animal enclosures, a natural creek and wetland, and undeveloped native bushland. In addition to our furry, feathered and scaley friends in-residence, Moonlit Sanctuary welcomes thousands of visitors to its Pearcedale location each week.

The Facilities and Environment Team is responsible for the upkeep and safe operation of Moonlit Sanctuary infrastructure and grounds. This includes handling both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (ranging from animal welfare needs to the maintenance of assets, buildings, paths, vehicles, landscapes, and visitor safety), as well as overseeing or undertaking capital projects, and ensuring security of the Sanctuary.

Facilities and Environment Officers are central to supporting internal departments to provide a safe and memorable experience for visitors.

Available Positions:

Facilities and Environment Officer, Trade (full time, 7.00am-3.00pm, Mon-Fri).

Facilities and Environment Officers, Non-Trade (part time, casual on a rotating roster including alternating weekends).

What We’re Looking For:

· Trade certificate in building and/or construction, carpentry or similar, or significant relevant experience across a range of trade areas.

· Practical experience in performing maintenance works, preferably in a public space environment.

· Ability to efficiently execute maintenance programs and contribute to site development and construction projects.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities both autonomously and as part of a larger team.

· Great communications skills enabling you to develop and maintain productive relationships with workers and contractors.

· Open support for workplace safety and thorough understanding of safety principles and risk.

· Strong organisational and time management skills, easily adapting to working with cloud-based applications.

· Someone willing to flex with the business to achieve its goals and objectives.

  • Someone comfortable and confident to build lasting supplier relationships, sourcing and ordering amazing products in keeping with our objectives.

  • Someone who can take direction but also show initiative, ensuring a great experience for each and every visitor who comes through the door.
