We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer‑focused Barista & Café All‑Rounder to join our Wetlands Café team. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced café environment and enjoys contributing to exceptional guest experiences.
What you bring
- Strong barista skills and experience working in a busy café environment.
- Previous experience in café, kitchen, food service or catering roles.
- Sound knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Ability to perform general front‑of‑house duties: taking orders, preparing beverages, clearing tables, arranging displays, stock control and daily cleaning tasks.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to take direction while also showing initiative.

Customer Service Assistants
Opportunity
Moonlit Sanctuary’s Visitor Experience team is looking for Customer Service Super Stars; people who can successfully turn their hand to anything whether that’s ticket sales, retail, hospitality, kitchen operations or cleaning.
What we’re looking for
- Great communication skills.
- Flexibility – move between ‘front of house’ including ticket or retail sales, visual merchandising, clearing tables, or cleaning, food service and ‘back of house’ in kitchen operations.
- Previous experience in a retail, cafe, kitchen or food service role, or even catering.
- Understanding of food hygiene (or an interest in learning).
- Someone who can take direction but also show their initiative, ensuring a great visitor experience.
- A reliable and detail‑oriented cleaner to help keep our venue sparkling clean and welcoming for our visitors.
- Availability to work during our busiest times – on weekends, public holidays, school holidays (was well as during the week!) as rostered.
- Bonus points for experience in ticket sales or guest services.

Night Tour Guide
- Make an impact in wildlife conservation and community education
- Night tours run every night except Christmas day
- Evening shifts beginning between 7:00pm and 8:30pm depending on the time of the year

Located in Pearcedale on the Mornington Peninsula, Moonlit Sanctuary is a privately owned and award-winning wildlife sanctuary dedicated to the conservation of Australian wildlife and their habitats. As the name suggests, Moonlit Sanctuary is renowned for its nocturnal wildlife safari experience. As a Tour Guide with Moonlit Sanctuary, you’ll get up close to potoroos, gliders, quolls, pademelons, and many other animals in their natural, nocturnal environment.
What we are looking for
- Natural storytellers with skills developed through guiding experience, theatre work, teaching and alike.
- Engaging presenters who can inspire our visitors with their passion and knowledge about Australian wildlife (which we can help you to learn).
- Conscientious operators who can work autonomously and effectively with different groups of visitors.
- Confident operators who are comfortable working after dark (when the nocturnal animals are active), in different weather conditions and in direct contact with the animals including inside their enclosures.
- Qualified and confident First Aiders with CPR (or those willing to qualify prior to commencement).
