You can cuddle up to a koala, take a selfie with a quokka, play with the dingoes, stroke a wombat, or take a private tour or discover the behind-the-scenes experience. There’s also a Threatened Species Tour where you can get up close to some of Australia’s most endangered species.
Admission tickets must be purchased along with all tours and encounters.
For the wellbeing of our animals, encounters may be cancelled in event of extreme local weather conditions.

- 11:30am - Behind the Scenes TourMeet some of the clever animals that star in our Wildlife Presentations, get close up with some of our reptiles and have a private hand-feeding session with kangaroos and wallabies in a bush setting.

- 1:00pm - Threatened Species TourOn this hour-long tour, you can choose three species to encounter from five endangered species that we care for.
- 1:30pm - Goshawk - Mon-FriEnter the off-display enclosure where Valhalla, the brown goshawk, will fly between you and a keeper.
- 1:30pm - Wombat EncounterIn this ten-minute close-up encounter, you can enter Mary the wombat’s enclosure while she is enjoying her food, bob down behind her and give her lots of pats down the back while her Keeper chats about her and her species.

The keeper reserves the right to cancel any encounter or presentation at any time, for reasons relating to animal welfare.
Koala Encounters will be cancelled during extreme local weather conditions.
Depending on weather and animal reactions other encounters may be cancelled or shortened without notice. We thank you for understanding.
Booking in advance is recommended to avoid disappointment particularly with the Wombat Encounter, Barn Owl Encounter, Dingo Encounter or Walk and Behind the Scenes tour. Koala and Encounters can usually be purchased at the ticket box when you come to the Sanctuary.
